Introduction to Design Thinking

In this course, you will learn the basics of Design Thinking methods and mindsets, which have been used by Fortune 500 companies and top design firms like IDEO to innovate new products and services. Design Thinking is a way for professionals from all backgrounds, both designers and non-designers, to work together to solve problems and create new business opportunities. It begins with empathy and gaining an understanding of potential customers’ needs. It also provides a way to quickly and cheaply sketch and prototype concepts that can be tested and further developed. By the end of this course, you will have a basic grasp of the terminology and process of Design Thinking that will allow you to start practicing in real-world situations.

His work focuses on increasing the creative and strategic capacity of teams and organizations to improve their ability to solve problems, create new opportunities, and address social issues in our times of rapid change and disruption. Lee-Sean co-founded the consultancy, Foossa, and has worked with organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies and from local governments to the United Nations. He teaches and speaks about design and innovation around the world. He is currently a part-time lecturer at New York University, the Parsons School of Design at the New School, and the School of Visual Arts.
