Productivity Systems for Developers

Software Development is hard enough without context switching, lack of clarity, lack of focus, and interruptions.

We get so caught up in the day job, we seem to overlook the very things that would help us. By becoming more systematic, we can offload a huge amount of work and focus on our day job.

Learn how mind-maps can supercharge your work, how a second brain will offload your personal project management, and how to carve out time for your own self-improvement. Get more ruthless with your own time and focus on becoming that top-notch IT professional.

I'm a Java Developer and DevOps Engineer working at Australia Post. My role is pretty rewarding right now, but it wasn't always like this.

In the early years of my career, I felt overwhelmed with the amount we have to do to keep up in the tech industry and fought burnout like we all do. I realised that there needed to be a better way.

I discovered productivity systems such as GTD in 2013 and "Learning How to Learn" techniques in 2015. I have been using those ever since to accelerate my career.

I blog on my website learncoderetain.com about these subjects and more, and love to refine and find new ways of working.
