Members will learn how to thrive and live full lives while raising children with special needs. They will learn what compassion fatigue is, signs and symptoms, and lots of strategies to beat compassion fatigue and burnout, including mindfulness, self-care, and dialectical behavior therapy strategies in order to live their best life!

Jessica Temple, PsyD, ABPP-CN is an American Board of Professional Psychology certified clinical neuropsychologist. Dr. Temple has a broad background in neuropsychological assessment and treatment, rehabilitation, health psychology, and various types of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy interventions.

She has experience with inpatient, outpatient, and day-treatment patients with neurological dysfunction, and routinely completes neuropsychological assessments with individuals with brain injury, stroke, or dementia. In addition, she has two children who have special needs.

She created the podcast Thriving in The Midst of Chaos, a parenting podcast for parents who have special needs children, to offer support to others in the special needs world as well as to gain support themselves. She aims to share resources with others, advocate for improvement and change in the special needs world, and offer a different perspective on parenting in the special needs community.
