I put together this course out of concern. Concern that character is undervalued by individuals and our society. Because of this, a character vacuum exists that impacts so many areas of our lives. The evidence of this vacuum is all around you and may even be observable in the outcomes of your life.
I have been involved in leadership development for over 15 years. I have had the opportunity to coach and train leaders of various levels and fields during that time. I have also been involved with coaching and training leaders in El Salvador and Honduras.
Through this experience, I came to realize a reoccurring theme in the life of most leaders and people. It is the fact that character matters more than the person often realizes. Moral failure is a result of compromise of some virtue and moral failure always has a negative downstream impact on people and organizations. The conclusion is that character matters. It is my hope that I can bring the importance of character formation back into personal and national awareness.
