Create a Morning Routine

Something most successful people have is a morning routine. This routine primes them for a productive day ahead by committing to various activities in the first hour of their day.

Morning routines when implemented are very powerful, and today I want to share with you different ways you can create successful morning routines for yourself.

The 3 areas we are going to focus on are:

  • Mind.

  • Body.

  • Soul.

We are going to dedicate 20-min to each area every morning.

Spark your mind. There are various techniques that work very well in igniting our minds in the morning, and some ideas include:

  1. Reading a book that aligns with your life's goals and core values.

  2. Listening to a podcast.

  3. Reading a few blog posts.

  4. Writing/brainstorming on your goals.

  5. Review your plan for the week and remember your why. Your why or your reasons for doing what you do will propel you to push through hard times when you just want to give up and quit. SO perhaps you need to spend some time contemplating your why so you re-energize your mind to focus throughout the day.

Move your body. Spend the next 20-mins moving your body.

  1. You can stretch.

  2. Do yoga.

  3. Go for a run.

  4. Swim.

  5. Lift weights.

  6. Ride a bike.

  7. Walk.

Feed your soul. The final 20-mins of your morning routine can be spent on things that feed your soul, such as:

  1. Journaling.

  2. Writing a gratitude list.

  3. Spiritual or religious practices.

  4. Meditation.

The beauty of a morning routine is that you get to choose what works best for you and you can change it at any time. Also, if you are not a morning person, don't worry, this practice can be done at any time of the day. Implement it when you know you're at your best, so for some of you this will be in the morning, but for others, it could be at the end of the day, and that is perfectly fine. You do you!

The most important thing is that you actually create and implement a morning routine that puts you into a peak state of performance to create daily success in your life.
