Metaphysical Causation’s of Stress and Dis-Ease

If you haven’t read How to heal your body by Louise Hay, I recommend it, especially if you are in a state of dis-ease. The book lists all the known metaphysical causations of disease and how to start healing yourself with the power of, what do you know, changing your mental patterns! How you think and how you feel creates your state of being. Our brain is a record of the past. Feelings and emotions are associated with memories and experiences. When you feel that emotion, your body goes into the past. Most people’s entire state of being is in the past. Louise Hay actually healed herself from cancer by going within and identifying and releasing her negative mental patterns. I’m not saying to stop seeing your doctor and taking your meds, but just know how powerful this work can be when you put in the effort and believe in what you are doing.

So what are Metaphysical causations? It describes the power in the words and thoughts that create experiences. This goes into the ways our internal suffering can create physical dis-ease. I have UC, my autoimmune dis-ease. The metaphysical causation of this (according to Louise Hay and her work with people) is Insecurity, and not being able to let go that which is over, or a fear of letting go. I feel this is pretty accurate. Insecurity – I have had a lot of uncertainty about who I am and what to do, which develops low self-confidence. My dad passed when I was 13 and I have had trouble letting go of my past, and what could have been. So once we identify the mental patterns and beliefs we have about ourselves, which is the cause of our dis-ease, we can introduce new thought patterns. In my example, I use the following affirmation: “I am part of the perfect rhythm and flow of life. All are in the divine right order. I easily release that which I no longer need. The past is over, and I am free. My father is also free.”

An important part of this work is that it helps to eliminate the blame, shame, and victim mentality, by giving us power and responsibility for our own thoughts. And by changing our thoughts, we can change our experiences to live in less dis-ease, and with more joy, peace, and love. This is another way of finding the root cause of your condition. Whether your condition is stress, anxiety, anger, resentment, headaches, addictions, ulcers… whatever it may be, there is a need for it, otherwise, we wouldn’t have it. These are symptoms and are only outer effects, stemmed from an inner mental cause. Willpower and discipline don’t work here because they only go after the outer effects...like cutting a weed without pulling out the roots. It just keeps coming back. We must first work on the willingness to release the need for the stress, cigarettes, alcohol, excess eating, whatever it may be. When the need is gone, the symptom disappears. Louise states from her learnings that there are really just two mental patterns that contribute to dis-ease: Fear and Anger. Anger can show up as impatience, irritation, frustration, criticism, resentment, jealousy, or bitterness. Fear can show up as tension, anxiety, nervousness, worry, doubt, insecurity, feeling not good enough, or unworthiness. These are all thoughts that poison the body. The question is, are you willing to release those thoughts? Are you willing to replace those thoughts with positive, loving affirmations? Let’s check out the list.

Find a list of the causations and affirmations here.

DEMENTIA: A refusal to deal with the world as it is. Hopelessness and anger.

Affirmation: I am in my perfect place, and I am safe at all times.

DEPRESSION: Anger you feel you do not have a right to have. Hopelessness.

Affirmation: I now go beyond other people’s fears and limitations. I create my own life.

DIABETES: Longing for what might have been. No sweetness left in life.

Affirmation: This moment is filled with joy. I now choose to experience the sweetness of today.

DIARRHEA: Fear. Rejection. Running off.

Affirmation: My intake, assimilation, and elimination are in perfect order. I am at peace with life.

The disease can be complex and unique to us all, so I don’t think I can say this method is a cure-all, but changing your thought patterns and perceptions of life will definitely help recover from these diseases quicker, and help prevent them too. We live in a universe that always says yes. A mirroring universe, that reflects who we are. This is essentially the law of attraction. What you put out into the world (your thoughts, words, and actions), you will get a supporting response from the universe. Be mindful of what you think, say, and do. What you put out will continue to show up. It’s like the friend who always seems to find the one guy at the bar that wants to fight. Whether he wants to get into a fight or not, internally there is a lot of anger or aggression which attracts other anger and aggression in the room. Remember you have to make a change if you expect to see a change. The mind-body connection is very real and is continuously being proven by science today.
